The Trilogies
From Patricka
Patrick has recorded several trilogies of albums relating to each other.
Contents |
Ambient
1. Project John EP - Simplistic
2. Chester - Noisy, Dark Ambient
3. Aerial Coil - Jazzy
Each Ambient record features Patrick's "best buddy" Chester, a brown boxer, on the cover.
Vocal
1. For The Frats - Punk, Cynical
2. Illustration Through Sound - Folk, Ambient, Depression
3. Where You Are Tonight - Country, Avant-Garde
Each vocal record times in around eighteen minutes, and all three albums fit conveniently on one disk.
Poetry
1. I Laughed - Drum heavy, Longer songs
2. I Lied - More Experimental
3. I Wish - Short and quirky
Each record is around eighteen minutes, excluding I Wish.
"The point of the Vocal and Poetry albums being shorter is being able to fit them on one disk, and experiencing them all at once."
Guitar Solo
Ambient Guitar Solos - Ambient, Soothing
Benji and Mei - Wild Guitar Solos
High Fructose Repast - Ambient, Upbeat
This was not a planned trilogy until Patrick recorded Benji and Mei. The albums focus on guitar solos.
Unofficial
It is debatable that Disarming, Before Twelve, and After Twelve are a trilogy. All three albums use similar techniques, and show a drastic change to Patrick Aei's former style.
