Project John EP
1. Intro - A quick track, and very heavy. I used my SG and Vibrochamp.
2. Conscious - An acoustic track, with vocals. This is the first song I used my Tacoma on, I think.
3. Ambient (Pi) - This sounds like a piano, but it's actually a guitar. It's my Gretsch, with Jazzmaster cleanly soloing.
4. Ambient (Urine is Abound) - Also sounds a little like a keyboard. I believe my SG was used with the Vibrochamp, with Chorus and Echo. The volume swells are my Gretsch
5. Ambient (Brian Smartin) - I'm not sure, but I may have used my SG for this. It's an Ebow solo, which I intended to sound very Double Bass like.
6. Ambient (K-D Fall) - My Gretsch's volume swells. The next sound you hear is my Jazzmaster, with tremolo. You can't tell it's guitar, actually.
7. Outro - This is my Gibson '51 with echo, tremolo, and heavy reverb from my Boss Digital Reverb. It's a brief instrumental, which I attempted to solo on, but my computer didn't like it for some reason. Oh well, it's fine by it self.

"Betty Van Halen was a funny name I used on my MySpace profile for a while. It kind of sums up my playing style."
"The noises you hear on Interval Vibration is from a Gameboy music program mixing through my Jazzmaster's pickup, with loud feedback."
"Dying Cassette was an old track that I turned into an orchestra of ambient guitar."
"Mid Knob is named after the Les Paul's knob that takes out mids and highs, but keeps the bass. I used that method for half of the song."
Ambient Guitar Solos
All guitar parts were played with a Fender Jazzmaster through a Digitech Guitar Processor and Fender HRD.
"With Ambient Guitar Solos, I decided to be a rebel, but also a tad innovative as well. The guitar sound for the first few songs was based around Eno's work with Harold Budd, but also my own improvs with piano with chorus. So, most tracks had stacks of reverb from the Guitar Processor and the Hot Rod Deluxe. I often used delays with that configuration, too. Then I incorporated a touch of overdrive until the climax, where I used a ton of distortion."
